Kiwi Translation is a translation agency based in New Zealand. Our mission is to provide high-quality, low-cost translations for use with New Zealand authorities and government departments. We also provide translations for import and export documentation, as well as community and commercial translations.
Kiwi Translation provides certified translations in all major world languages. We specialise in documents required by visitors and migrants to New Zealand for student, work and residence visas, as well as citizenship applications. We also provide commercial and marketing translations, and product labelling translations for New Zealand businesses expanding overseas.
Our service is international, so we can deliver your translation to you wherever you are – whether in New Zealand or overseas. Kiwi Translation also provides certified electronic versions of translations for online applications.

Providing High Quality Translations since 2013
Kiwi Translation was founded in 2013 by Josiah Beach, a translator and linguist based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Kiwi Translation quickly expanded to provide services throughout New Zealand and overseas in a range of different languages.
Along with their dedicated team of experienced translators, Josiah and the Kiwi Translation team have completed over 3500 translation projects and are able to provide certified translations in almost any language.
Our translations have been helping kiwi businesses reach overseas markets in China and beyond, and have assisted visitors and migrants applying for New Zealand visas, along with lawyers, advisers and businesses in a wide variety of industries.
Josiah Beach
Translations Coordinator
Kiwi Translation is run by Josiah Beach. Josiah has a long and rich experience in languages and translation. As a bilingual speaker of Chinese and English himself, as well as a qualified and experienced translator, he understands the needs of visitors and migrants to New Zealand and is able to ensure you receive a certified translation that is government approved and suits your needs.
Born and raised in Christchurch, Josiah first studied Quenya at 11 years old, before taking his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Canterbury with a double major in Chinese Language and Linguistics. The following year he received a Confucius Institute scholarship to undertake further Chinese study at the Beijing Language and Culture University in China, completing a Certificate in Advanced Chinese Language Training. Josiah has a Graduate Diploma in Translation from the Auckland University of Technology and is a full member of the New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters (NZSTI). He has extensive experience in the translation industry both in New Zealand and overseas, having worked as both an in-house and freelance translator at various agencies, including for the Translation Service at Internal Affairs. Josiah has a particular interest in phonetics and orthography, and as well as being literate in the Latin and Chinese scripts, can also read the Arabic and Russian Cyrillic scripts as well as Japanese Katakana.
