Kiwi Translation is 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, low-cost translations for visitors and migrants to New Zealand as well as NZ Businesses. Quality translations at an affordable price for use at Immigration New Zealand, NZQA, the Citizenship Office and other government departments. We are able to provide certified translations of documents required for student, business and tourist visas, as well as Permanent Residence (PR) and citizenship applications. We can also provide marketing and product labeling translations for New Zealand businesses which are recognized by MPI.

Josiah Beach

Kiwi Translation is run by Josiah Beach. Josiah has a long and rich experience in languages and translation. As a bilingual speaker of Chinese and English himself, as well as a qualified, experienced translator, Josiah understands the needs of visitors and migrants to New Zealand and is able to ensure you receive a certified translation that is government approved and suits your needs.

Along with their dedicated team of experienced translators, Josiah and the Kiwi Translation team are able to provide certified translations in almost any language.

Born and raised in Christchurch, Josiah began learning Chinese at 15 years old, before taking his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Canterbury with a double major in Chinese Language and Linguistics. The following year he received a Confucius Institute scholarship to undertake further Chinese study at the Beijing Language and Culture University in China, completing a Certificate in Advanced Chinese Language Training. Josiah has a Graduate Diploma in Translation from AUT University and is a full member of the New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters (NZSTI). He has extensive experience in the translation industry both in New Zealand and overseas, having worked as both an in-house and freelance translator at various agencies, including for the Translation Service at Internal Affairs. With a strong linguistic background in both phonetics and orthography, Josiah is literate in not only the Latin and Chinese scripts, but can also read the Arabic and Russian Cyrillic scripts as well as Japanese Katakana.
