Who needs to get a Driving Licence Translation?

Anyone whose driving licence is not in English but wants to drive in New Zealand.

If you have an valid overseas driving licence or driving permit, you can drive for up to 12 months after entering New Zealand. However, if your licence is not in English, you must also carry an NZTA-approved translation of your licence when driving. Please see the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) website for more details.
